Wrexham FC, Cardiff City FC, Swansea FC…and Cwmbran Celtic FC. That’s the line-up for the semi-finals of the Bute Energy Women’s Welsh Cup.

Celtic’s Ladies’ team beat Briton Ferry Llansawel 1-0 on Sunday 15 February to earn a place in the last four of the prestigious trophy. Their opponents play in the Generos Adran Premier, which is the top tier of women’s football in Wales.

Celtic’s goal was scored by Fiona Anthony in the 36th minute. That win earned them a last-four match against Swansea City FC.

The semi-final has to be played on a neutral ground so Celtic will head to Jenner Park in Barry on Sunday 8 March. Kick off 2pm.

Celtic’s cup journey so far has seen them beat Penclawdd FC, Penclawdd Wattsville Ladies FC, and Llanwit Fardre FC with Anthony scoring in every match so far.
