ASDA Cwmbran is calling on residents to help identify a local group that supports primary school children during the holidays – with a chance to secure a £500 grant from the ASDA Foundation.
The funding is part of the Young Futures – School Holiday Essentials programme, which aims to tackle inequalities faced by children aged four to 11 outside of term time. The grant can be used to provide food, hygiene items, and activity packs to help children stay healthy, engaged and supported during school breaks.
Successful applicants will receive funding from May 2026.
The total UK funding pot is £175,000. The successful group will receive £500 to support their work.
The group must be a charity or a non profit local group and must have governing documents, a safeguarding policy and a bank account.
