How nice is this! This put a big smile on my face. A darts team from Cwmbran don’t just love the arrows. They’ve decided they can also help other local sports clubs.
Cons Bravo were formed just a year ago. They play at Pontnewydd Constitutional Club and are currently top of the Cwmbran Pub League.
A spokesperson for the team said: “What began as a social event has quickly grown into something much bigger. In under 12 months, our journey has evolved beyond the oche. We’re proud to be supporting local talent and grassroots sport.”
The players pay subs each month to support their own club. But they made the decision to use some of their money to help others in the community.
The spokesperson added: “Our first step into sponsorship began with backing a promising young footballer who plays for Goytre Women. We’re proud to be sponsoring her for the season while building our presence in the local sports scene.”
They are now also the official front-of-shirt sponsor for the Croesyceiliog Under-13s football team for 2025/26 season. And they’re kindly sponsoring two footballers by paying their club subs each month for the rest of the season.
