Carers should pop along to Cwmbran Library tomorrow (Monday 10 June) for an event where they can pick up lots of useful information.

Over 20 organisations that support carers in Torfaen will be offering advice.  These include SSAFA, Crossroads, Stroke Association, British Red Cross and St David’s Hospice Care.

There will be mini make-overs courtesy of Boots,  complementary therapies and blood pressure checks .  You can have a tea or coffee.  Lynne Neagle AM will be holding a surgery.

Norah Williams, Macmillan Torfaen Libraries Cancer Information & Support Coordinator, said: “I will be highlighting Torfaen Libraries Carers Card and introducing the Carers Collection, a new collection of suitable resources to support carers in the valuable work that they do.”

It runs from 10am to 2pm. Torfaen Council’s website has more information on free help and support for carers.
