The Inspirational Person award at Cwmbran Community Council’s Community Awards was given to Alice Bosley.
This was read out to the audience as she walked up to collect her award on Friday 6 March in the Parkway Hotel.
“Alice is a passionate community champion who has dedicated her time and energy to bringing people together in Cwmbran.
“Through her work with the Forgehammer CIC, she has helped transform a local venue into a welcoming hub where people of all ages can meet, connect and feel part of their community. Built on the ethos of ‘stronger together’, the space she helps lead offers a safe, warm and inclusive environment for local residents.
“Alice organises a range of activities designed to combat loneliness and isolation, including community afternoon teas, craft groups and befriending bingo sessions. She also supports the weekly Public Living Room, where anyone can drop in for a cup of tea, conversation and companionship.
“Her compassion, dedication and belief in supporting others has created a welcoming community where people feel valued, included and connected.
“For her outstanding commitment to improving the lives of others in Cwmbran, we are proud to recognise Alice as the recipient of the Inspiring Person Award.”
