A thief has stolen a bag of kit from a paramedic in Pontypool

A stethocope

A paramedic has appealed for a thief to return the bag packed full of his personal protective equipment (PPE) and diagnostic kit.

Ross Card, who is based at Pontypool Ambulance Station, woke up this morning to find out that his vehicle had been broken into overnight.

Ross said a large green holdall was taken from his car outside his house in Snatchwood, Abersychan. The bag contained items including high visibility clothing, Covid-19 PPE, stethoscopes, a thermometer, blood glucose testing equipment and an oxygen saturation monitor. The cost of the kit is around £400 to £500

He said: “It would be handy to have back before my shifts this week, given that there’s currently a pandemic on and all that.”
