A meal at the Tamarind restaurant in Cwmbran

The Tamarind is an Indian restaurant/ takeaway in St Dials. Many years ago the building was the Marlborough pub.

I always choose to pick up a takeaway from here to avoid the delivery wait. During my occasional weekend visits I always notice the restaurant area is very busy.

These photos were taken yesterday when we popped in for a sit down meal. We were the first to be seated when it opened at 5.30pm.

The place is family friendly with my 6yo daughter enjoying a taste of chicken Korma and her own red carnation when the bill arrived.

The staff are friendly, the food is lovely and the Cobra lager (£2.90 a pint) is ice cold.

Keep up the good work.
