Croesyceiliog RFC launches Christmas Toy Appeal to support local families and charities.

Croesyceiliog RFC is calling on the community to help spread some festive cheer by supporting its annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

The rugby club has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for new toys and gifts for children, families and organisations that may need extra support this Christmas.

The appeal has become a well-established part of the club’s festive activities, bringing together players, families and supporters to help those facing difficult circumstances during the holiday season.

Over the years, donations have supported a range of organisations including LATCH, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, Cyfannol, Llamau and Velindre Cancer Centre, as well as local hospitals, care homes and families in the Cwmbran area.

In a message launching this year’s appeal, the club said: “This Christmas, Croesyceiliog RFC is once again bringing our rugby family and wider community together to spread some Christmas cheer.

“We’ve set up a GoFundMe page to help us raise funds to purchase new toys and gifts for children, families and organisations who may need some extra support this Christmas.”

“For our young players, the appeal is also about teaching the importance of kindness, compassion, generosity and giving back.”

Organisers are encouraging residents, businesses and supporters to contribute whatever they can.
