A company that operates sports bars in the West Country has applied for a premises licence at the former Simply Gym unit in Cwmbran.
Allstars (Taunton) Limited has asked Torfaen Council for permission to sell alcohol, hold indoor sporting events, show films, and play music at various times throughout the week at Units 6 & 7 at Cwmbran Leisure on Glyndwr Road.
The Allstars website includes bars in Exeter, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare.
The Taunton bar appears on the website for Allstars and says: “The best place for live sport and a serious game of snooker, pool or darts in Taunton. Expect properly-maintained, competition-standard snooker, English and American pool tables and top quality darts boards throughout. Watch all the action on our big screen and showing around the venue, with great value food and drink available at the bar.”
A full copy of the application is available from Torfaen Council’s licensing team. Comments must be made before Thursday 22 October 2026.
