A group of volunteers in Upper Cwmbran are inviting people to pick up traditional tools and learn ‘the joy of crafting with fresh, natural wood’.
The Blaen Brân Community Woodland Green Woodworking Group meets every Friday at 10am in the woodland’s work compound- near the log circle.
People can try carving, whittling and small wood projects, all while surrounded by the peace and wildlife of the community‑run woodland.
The sessions are open to anyone who fancies having a go, whether you’ve never held a carving knife before or you’ve been whittling for years.
Booking is not required. Just turn up.
