A Cwmbran man is competing in the World Adventure Golf Tour Final this weekend.
Seve Kukielka, who is currently ranked number one with the British Minigolf Association, will take on 41 of the best players from around the world from Friday 1 May to Saturday 2 May.
The event is being held at Aces Minigolf Gloucester – the course Seve owns and runs.
He told Cwmbran Life he first got involved in the sport in 2006 after spotting a tournament in Taunton.
‘Friendly and welcoming’
“I fell in love with it, more so the people – so friendly and welcoming,” he said. “You get involved and next thing you know you’re in the south coast in Hastings playing crazy golf.”
Players are travelling from as far as New Zealand, the USA and Finland, with 11 countries represented. They’ll all be hoping to secure a share of the €8,500 (£7,400) prize pot.

Seve’s passion for the sport eventually led him to look for a business opportunity. With no suitable sites locally, he opened his Gloucester course in July 2021.
“I’ve played for so long, all around the world, and have a huge amount of experience of what works in terms of a competitive course,” he said. “I used all of my experience to create a course that would be enjoyable for the public and also meet competition standards.
“Not in my wildest dreams did I think it would be picked for this final. A big honour.”
Watch on YouTube
Spectators are welcome across both days, with play starting at 9am. The event will also be streamed live on the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour YouTube channel.
This is the third tour final and the first time it has been held in the UK. Since opening, Aces Minigolf Gloucester has hosted several British Minigolf Association tournaments, including the British Championships and British Masters.

Aces Minigolf Gloucester will host the prestigious WMF World Adventure Golf Final this year. Forty-two of the top players from around the world, including Seve Kukielka from Cwmbran, will compete for the title of World Adventure Golf Tour Champion for the 2025/2026 season! The Final will take place on 1st and 2nd May 2026.
As well as the UK’s top players, competitors are travelling from as far afield as New Zealand, USA and Finland with 11 countries in total being represented. They are all hoping for a chance to secure some of the €8,500 (£7,400) prize pot that is on offer.
The tournament will consist of 5 rounds for all players, 4 on Friday and 1 on Saturday morning. The top 16 players with the lowest combined scores will then advance to the knockout rounds where they will go head-to-head against another player in a 1 round shootout until 2 players are left to compete for the grand prize of €3,000 (£2,600) and the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour Trophy.
This is the third tour final and it will be the first time the World Adventure Golf Tour Final is being held in the UK. Aces Minigolf is an 18 hole course which has been professionally designed and built to hold competitive minigolf tournaments. Since it opened in 2021, it has held a number of “major” tournaments from the British Minigolf Association tour calendar – including the British Championships and British Masters.
The course is unique and with it’s exciting hole designs there will be plenty of opportunities for Aces (hole-in-ones) so expect the scores to be low with some of the world’s best players on show.
