After two packed events earlier this year, a new four‑week harmonica course is coming to Cwmbran Library throughout June.
The mixed‑ability course will run on Thursday mornings – 4, 11, 18 and 25 June, from 10am to midday. It’s aimed at adults who want to learn the harmonica, build confidence and enjoy a relaxed, social music session.
Learners will need to bring a diatonic harmonica in the key of C, and easy‑to‑follow TAB will be provided. Sessions include playing, listening, singing, jamming and learning by copying the tutor, with music ranging from blues and folk to country, rock and singalongs.
Book on the harmonica course
The course costs £60, or £48 if you pre‑book, with a £10 non‑returnable deposit to secure a place. The room holds up to 28 people.
The tutor is Aidan Sheehan, outreach programme officer for Harmonica UK, a qualified teacher and professional musician.
