A new venue for meetings, conferences, training sessions, classes and rehearsals has opened in Cwmbran.
The Studio is the name of the large multi‑room former office complex in Old Cwmbran.
The Congress Theatre has taken on the lease for the two‑storey building on Oldbury Road.
Theatre manager Martyn Redwood said he was regularly having to turn away people looking for room or venue hire. The theatre also faced extra costs from hiring spaces across the borough for the Congress Youth Theatre to rehearse.
The Studio includes two large rooms – one on each floor – along with several smaller spaces. The building also has free parking, a lift, kitchen facilities and toilets.
A new page has been added to the Congress Theatre’s website, titled The Studio, where visitors can view each room, check prices, see availability and make bookings.
