This Valentine’s Day, Dogs Trust is playing matchmaker for four inseparable pairs of pooches who simply can’t imagine life without one another.
These devoted duos have built unbreakable bonds and, now that they’ve found their soulmates, are looking for loving homes where they can remain side by side for the rest of their lives.
Currently in the care of Dogs Trust Bridgend and Dogs Trust Cardiff, these pairs often provide each other with the courage, comfort and companionship that can help them settle into new environments. The charity hopes that by showing off these soulmates this Valentine’s Day, they can inspire dog lovers across Wales to open their hearts, unleash their love, and give the happy couples the love nests they deserve.
Kim Davies, Manager at Dogs Trust Cardiff, said, “This Valentine’s Day, we’re on the lookout for adopters across Wales for our beautiful pairs of pooches, and with these dogs, you get double the love!
“Now that these pairs have found their soulmates in each other, we’re hoping to set up some ‘first dates’ with potential adopters, so they can all find their happy fur-ever home together.”
The Valentine’s Pairs searching for their forever homes are:
- Dill & Luna – Dogs Trust Cardiff
Nine-year-old Bichon Frise x Schnauzer Dill and his best mate, seven-year-old Cocker Spaniel Luna, are two friendly pooches looking for a forever home where they can have lots of sniffy walks, lots of treats and snuggle up together.
When it comes to a forever home, Dill and Luna aren’t asking for the world; they would be happy to live with children and would happily join another pooch. Although they can both be a little bit nervous when meeting new people, this pair encourages each other to be brave, so they’ll be asking for a fuss in no time.
- Pippin & Coco – Dogs Trust Bridgend
Having barely spent a day apart, sisters Pippin and Coco, the eight-year-old Tibetan Terriers, are looking for a loving forever home this Valentine’s Day, where they can snuggle up on the sofa together and have their happily ever after.
These two are so devoted to each other that they don’t even bat an eye towards other dogs, so they are looking to be the only pets in their new home, where they can settle in with their new family at their own pace. They would happily live with secondary school-aged children, and once they get to know you, you’ll see just how much love they have to give.
- Flipper & Monty – Dogs Trust Cardiff
Meet the odd couple, Flipper and Monty, two Chihuahuas with very different personalities. Six-year-old Flipper and one-year-old Monty could not be more different when it comes to personality, but they both have one thing in common: their love for each other.
Flipper is a nervous boy who can sometimes take a little time to warm up to people and his surroundings. On the other hand, Monty loves nothing more than a fuss straight away and is the more confident of the duo. Both these pooches are unsure of other dogs but are happy to live with older children and adopters who are happy to show them the fun of living in a warm, loving forever home, where they can settle in at their own pace.
- Ronnie & Veggie – Dogs Trust Cardiff
Ronnie and Veggie are two-year-old bald Dachshunds who can both be quite nervous when meeting new people and when encountering new surroundings. The duo is very much reliant on each other and are closely bonded, often curling up together in bed.
Ronnie and Veggie are underconfident and under-socialised, so they are looking for loving, understanding adopters who are willing to give these pooches the time, patience and training these two need to settle into their forever homes.
