Sir Gareth Edwards was in Cwmbran last Friday evening.
The former Wales and British Lion was the special guest at Croesyceiliog School for a fundraising concert for Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity and Velindre Hospital’s The Teenage Cancer Trust.
The charities have helped local teenager, Gethin Evans, 19, a Croesyceiliog RFC player, undergoing treatment for cancer.
Sir Gareth joked in the video below as he remembered Pontypool players “praying” for more rain at Pontypool Park before matches.
Cwmbran Life also spoke to Eirlys Edwards, from The Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity, about how the charity helps young people in Wales aged 15-35.
Entertainment was provided by Pontnewydd Male Choir and singer-guitarist Paola Scarpetta.
