How lush does Llany Social Club look? Here are a couple of photos from the free Christmas Day dinner.

I met Natalie O’Sullivan, committee member, on the morning of Christmas Day, who told me that 26 people were booked in for a free meal cooked by Flame’z Kitchen at Llanyrafon Shops.

She said: “It’s for people…who would only have a very small table who are going to come have a massive table. I’m so excited. I’ve literally not slept for days.

“Rhiannon really wanted to help so she offered to cook the dinners for us so that we haven’t got to cook here. I’ve got to go and pick them [the meals] all up at 1 o’clock and then bring them over here. We’re doing a few bits here as well, like extra pigs in blankets, stuffing, all the other little trimmings and bits.

“Everyone is bringing something. Like my one friend is bringing cauliflower cheese, everyone else is bringing like a bottle of wine, everyone’s is bringing a few bits too.

“Everyone that’s coming, we’re all going to pitch in like a big dysfunctional family Christmas.

“Everyone is going do to a little bit here and there.”
