The couple tied the knot on Saturday 6 September in Usk Registry Office. But they started their special day by doing what they usually do – the 5km free Cwmbran parkrun at 9am from Cwmbran Boating Lake.
They were joined by their family and friends, along with some members of their running club, Fairwater Runners.
The third pic shows their tasty-looking wedding cake- with them both proudly wearing their Fairwater Runners light blue vests about to cross a finish line together with ‘just married’ across the ribbon.
Leonie told Cwmbran Life: “Parkrun was amazing. Lots of friends turned up, even people who don’t normally attend. Every time I turned around, there was someone I knew. It was a wonderful atmosphere.
“We had support from family and friends, and of course, Fairwater Runners were there. We collected loads of food and toiletries for the foodbank.”
Instead of wedding gifts, they asked for donations for a local foodbank. The fourth photo shows some of the items that were collected.
