Congratulations to Bryan and Wendy Booth, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
They’ve lived in Cwmbran for the last 60 years and have two children, John and Andrea.
Mike and Hayley are their son-in-law and daughter-in-law. The couple have four grandchildren, Sebastian, Saffron, Trinity and James.
John Booth, their son, said: “My mother’s brother was a minister and he married them. His name was Colin Bessant, that was my mother’s maiden name. They were married 19 June 1965.”
They first lived in a house on Windsor Road, Fairwater, before moving to nearby Winston Path and later Trannon Court in Thornhill. They’ve lived in Five Locks Road, Pontnewydd, since 1984.
Wendy worked at the Free Press in Pontypool, a cash and carry in Cwmbran, and then as a personal assistant.
Bryan worked as an accounts clerk before joining Saunders Valve, where he stayed for around 20 years before joining Lucas Girling.
