A Conservative politician elected to Pontypool Community Council three months ago has switched to Reform UK.
Stephen Senior won the New Inn Upper ward on 13 February 2025- but a press release today announced he’s changed parties. Minutes after his election win, the former deputy chair of Torfaen Conservatives, told Cwmbran Life: “We are pleased. It was previously a Labour seat so we’ve won it back for the Conservatives.”
He had 225 votes and Labour’s Sarah Evans had 166 votes.
