People with disabilities travelled to Redz Snooker Club yesterday for a day of free snooker with professional coaches.

World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) returned to the Cwmbran club for a three-day event. The open day attracted players from the local area, Bristol and further afield. The organisation used Redz in 2017, 2018 and 2019 before the event was postponed because of the pandemic.

Cwmbran Life visited to chat to players and one of the organisers. The coaches ran sessions with players with any disability or level of experience from 10am to 5pm.

Then today and tomorrow the club is the venue for the Welsh Open with around 40 players competing through the weekend for the title.
