A team from Fairwater Runners in Cwmbran finished second in a 100 mile relay race around Gwent. The 13 stage event took place on Sunday 2 June and started at 7.30am from Grosmont Castle
The winning team, Chepstow Harriers A, crossed the finish line at the Castell y Bwch pub in a time of 10hrs 27min 14 seconds.

Shortest Stage: Stage 1 – Grosmont Castle to Skenfrith Castle – 5.1 miles
Longest Stage: Stage 8 – Usk Castle to Tintern Abbey – 13.1 miles
This year 23 teams took part including two from Fairwater Runners who host the event.
Winning team 2013: Chepstow Harriers A – total time 10hrs 27mins 14secs
Second: Fairwater Runners A – 10hrs 50mins 7secs
Third: Lliswerry A – 11hrs 20mins 7secs
Winning B Team: Chepstow B – 11hrs 44mins 24secs
