Planning permission approved for two new shops in Cwmbran town centre

A parade of shops

Two businesses have been given the go-ahead to open in Cwmbran town centre after getting planning permission to change the legal use of the current shops.

This week Torfaen Council planners approved:

  • 33 Gwent Square- It’s the shop next to Cwmbran Library that used to be occupied by Beverley Morgan Estate Agents. Permission has been given to change its use from  “retail to a mixed-use comprising retail and printing and sale of t-shirts and other clothing.” The shop will be allowed to open from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Sunday and Bank Holidays.
  • 4 The Arcade- This vacant shop used to be a dry cleaner. Permission has been given to change its use to a “Tearoom and Cake shop selling hot and cold drinks, Cakes, Brownies, Cookies, Tea cakes, Toast, Sandwiches.” The shop will be allowed to open from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Saturday.
