Qualified nurses are being urged to attend a recruitment open day being held to fill over 40 roles in care homes across the south Wales valleys and M4 corridor.
Hallmark Care Homes, a family-run provider of care homes across the UK, has a number of nursing vacancies available across seven of its properties in Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend, Pontypridd, Maesteg and Merthyr Tydfil.
Recruitment Day in Cardiff
The firm is holding a recruitment open day, in partnership with Yolk Recruitment, in Cardiff on the 16th and 17th of October 2018.
Potential recruits will be able to learn about the various roles available and be interviewed on site, leading to a job offer on the day if successful, subject to compliance checks.
Hallmark Care Homes is urging registered general nurses, registered mental health nurses and registered nurses for learning disabilities looking for new opportunities to attend.
Pay of £16.50 to £18 an hour
The roles benefit from pay of between £16.50 and £18 an hour, state-of-the-art facilities, 30 days of annual leave, full private health and dental care and a pension.
Sam Branch, recruitment and project
co-ordinator, from Hallmark Care Homessaid: “Our focus is on building independence for our residents and ensuring that they have all of the support they need to nurture current and future relationships. Dedicated, well-trained staff are central to that vision. With a serious shortage of nursing skills in the labour market, we are keen to attract the very best talent and reward them well for their hard work.
“Our recruitment open day will allow nurses looking for new opportunities to find out more about our work providing care services to vulnerable people across south Wales, and about the specific roles we have on offer.”
Kate Turner, business manager for Healthcare with Yolk Recruitment said: “The expansion of Hallmark Care Homes across south Wales is a fantastic opportunity for caring, qualified nurses to practice in a supportive, rewarding environment and we anticipate there being a lot of interest in these roles.”
