A desperate appeal has gone out from Cwmbran Celtic Ladies FC for new players. The club has been running since 2012 but last week they had to call off their match against Llangyfelach as they couldn’t field 11 players.

The cancellation cost them a £50 fine and a three-point deduction. Now player/ captain Vicki Randall is calling on women aged 16 and over to join the friendly club. She told Cwmbran Life that they don’t play to an elite standard and welcome women who have never played football. Find out more in this video interview with Vicki at the team’s training session.

At the start of the 2017/18 season they had so many players they had to hold a trial. But now due to illness, injury and work they are struggling to get a team together.
