A new application has been submitted to Torfaen Council for a licence for the yet-to-open Spice Inn Indian restaurant at Fairwater Shops to be able to sell alcohol.

Councillors recently turned down a proposal for it to be able to sell  alcohol from 11am to 3am on Monday to Sunday and until 5am on New Year’s Eve, Boxing Day and any Bank Holiday Sunday or Monday.

The latest application is for the council to licence the Spice Inn:

For late night refreshment and the sale of alcohol for consumption ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ the premises Sunday to Thursday 11am to midnight, Friday & Saturday 11am to 1am and New Years Eve, Boxing Day and Bank holiday Sunday and Monday until 1am. Opening hours are from 11am to end of licensable activities plus 30 minutes.
