Cwmbran choir Soul’d As Seen won a competition to perform at The Great British Prom at Bowood House & Gardens. On Saturday 6 August they performed with Only Men Aloud and The National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Anthony Inglis.

Susie Webb, the choir’s director, said: “The experience from start to finish was an unforgettable one. The choir performed three tracks on their own including their recent single ‘You’re the voice’, in front of the thousands in the crowd and then they joined Only Men Aloud for ‘Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and God Save the Queen.

“The performance culminated in a huge firework display and there were tears of joy from the choir for what was an incredibly memorable experience.”

They rehearse every Tuesday at 7.30pm in Bron Afon’s office in William Brown Close, Llantarnam Industrial Estate.
