Remembrance Sunday Parades in Cwmbran

Here are the times for tomorrow’s parades in Cwmbran. This info is from the South Wales Argus website where you can find out the times for other parades in Torfaen.

Cwmbran
10.15am – Parade assembles at Clomendy Road

10.30am – Parade moves off via Commercial Street, Victoria Street, to War Memorial Clock for prayers. Parade moves off via Oldbury Road, Henllys Way to Cocker Avenue Park for a service and wreath laying ceremony. A two-minute silence will be observed at 11.00am.

11.15am – Parade moves off via Henllys Way, Cocker Avenue and Wesley Street to St Gabriel’s Church

The Mayor of Torfaen (Councillor Phil Seabourne); the Rt Hon Paul Murphy MA MP; Ms Lynne Neagle AM Member of the National Assembly for Wales (Torfaen); the Leader of Torfaen County Borough Council; the Vice-Chair of Cwmbran Community Council; the Leader of Croesyceiliog/Llanyrafon and the Chair of Ponthir Community Council will be present and will lay wreaths Contact Ian McGill (Lead Officer Member Development and Civic Responsibility, Torfaen) 01495 742775

Pontnewydd
10.15am – Parade assembles

10.30am – Parade from Pontnewydd Royal British Legion Club, Station Road, Pontnewydd for wreath laying ceremony and service at the Cenotaph. A two-minute silence will be observed at 11.00am

Torfaen Councillors representing the Pontnewydd and Upper Cwmbran Wards and representatives of Cwmbran Community Council will be present and will lay wreaths Contact Martin Davies (Royal British Legion, Pontnewydd) 07887 947177
